Is there a version of Gallery Card Insert Maker available for operating systems other than Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard?
There are no plans to create a version for Linux, although Andy is seriously considering writing a Windows version of the program. There are no plans to support versions of OS X earlier than 10.5.
If you feel strongly on the subject and wish that your OS was supported, then please use the feedback page to let me know.
When I run the software nothing happens
It is likely that you are attempting to run the software on a non-Leopard version of Mac OS X. Check that your system meets the minimum requirements shown on the download page.
I want to use my keywords and/or paper presets for other users on my Mac but they only show up for me. How can I fix this?
Keywords and paper presets are stored at a user level as it's usual for different people to want to maintain their own settings. However, if you want to set up keywords and paper presets under one log in and make this available to other users of your computer simply copy the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Gallery Card Insert Maker/ to the same location for all relevant users. Note that doing this will replace their existing settings!
If you only want to duplicate either keywords or paper presets then instead of copying the entire folder, make a copy of the relevant file within that folder.
How do I move the application to another computer?
Copy the software from your Applications folder to the other computer. If you want to retain your keywords and paper presets also copy the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Gallery Card Insert Maker/ to the same location on the other Mac.
What about program updates?
It is planned to include automatic updates using Sparkle in a future version of Gallery Card Insert Maker. In the meantime, please check here regularly for notification of updates.
